Advisors to the 2024 DNC
The 2024 DNC aimed to be the most accessible, equitable, and sustainable in party history. Pioneering first-ever environmental initiatives, we demonstrated how large-scale events can consciously acknowledge impacts, rescue food, reduce waste and support local communities, setting new standards in convention sustainability.
Bright Beat and Purpose (BBxP) were selected as DNC Sustainability Advisors by the DNCC and Host Committee, demonstrating the importance of collaboration in advancing sustainability. We conducted a comprehensive assessment of key convention venues to identify opportunities for the greatest environmental and social impact, prioritizing the strategy based on the convention’s largest sources of emissions.
A DNC Sustainability Guide and catalogue of educational resources equipped DNC vendors and provided lasting value to venue and event stakeholders across the city.

A few achievements include:
Measuring Travel Emissions for 20,000 Attendees + Creating a "Carbon Insetting Program" which benefitted a local, regenerative urban farm on the South Side of Chicago, Growing Home.
